Air Lagon is Reunion Island's first paragliding school, operating in Saint-Leu since 1984. Our five tandem packages, from €90 to €299, take off from Les Colimaçons (800 m) or Maïdo (2,200 m). Over 50,000 flights completed, led by state-certified instructors. Times run from fifteen minutes for the Vol Découverte to one hour for the Vol du Maïdo. Accepted weight runs from 20 to 120 kg, and children fly from the age of four. Acrobatics come included from the Vol Extra Long upwards, on a simple request at take-off. The Photos and HD Video option can be added to every package for 20 euros. A delay costs nothing when the weather turns.

Discover the joys of tandem paragliding from the legendary Colimaçons site. At 800 m altitude, you'll fly over the sugar cane fields and the Mascarins botanical conservatory before gliding towards the turquoise lagoon of Saint-Leu. A flight accessible to all, ideal for a first experience with the family. The Vol Découverte holds fifteen to twenty minutes in the air, not counting preparation and transfer. It is the entry package at Air Lagon, the one most first-time passengers pick. Take-off asks for a few running steps, never a jump. No experience is required, and the state-certified instructor keeps the controls from start to finish. You meet near Kélonia, at the north entrance of Saint-Leu, fifteen minutes before the agreed time; the shuttle then drives up to take-off. The Photos and HD Video option is available on this package as on the others.

Long Flight

An extended flight from Les Colimaçons for a true aerial stroll. After an initial climb, we'll chase the white-tailed tropicbirds and other birds typical of Reunion Island. Riding the thermals, we'll fly over the ravines with their colourful Creole names and follow the west coast. Just before landing, a pass over the lagoon reveals turtles and coral reefs — and, with a little luck, a passing ray or dolphins at play. And if you feel like it, you can even take the controls for a few moments. The Vol Long holds twenty-five to thirty minutes in the air, close to double the Vol Découverte, from the same take-off at 800 metres. The Photos and HD Video option, at 20 euros, adds an on-board GoPro for the whole flight. Booking is best taken 24 to 48 hours ahead, and a delay costs nothing when the weather turns.

Extra Long Flight

The Extra-Long flight is our most requested package, and for good reason: it's the best gateway to a complete paragliding experience. After a substantial climb, we'll explore the island's western face, hopping from thermal to thermal — a true aerial hike above the crops and reliefs. You'll discover the diversity of the coast's landscapes before gliding towards the lagoon for a turtle flyover. And if you wish, acrobatics to finish in style. The flight holds thirty to forty minutes in the air, from Les Colimaçons. From this package upwards, acrobatics come included, on a simple request at take-off. Accepted weight runs from 20 to 120 kg, as on the other packages leaving from Les Colimaçons. A delay costs nothing when conditions do not allow flying that day. The Extra-Long is the package most passengers pick once they know they want more than a first taste.

Panoramic Flight

A unique flight. Daily departure at 6am in summer, 7am in winter to enjoy the best weather conditions. From 1,600 m altitude, you'll fly over the primary forest, the peaks and the ramparts, with a clear view from Étang-Salé to Saint-Paul. You'll gain height — literally and visually — to take in the whole western territory. An exclusive flight, for thrill-seekers. The Vol Panoramique holds twenty-five to thirty minutes in the air and starts higher than Les Colimaçons. The early slot is not a detail: that is when the air stays calmest over the terrain. Passenger weight is capped at 90 kg on this package. The early slot is booked ahead. A delay costs nothing when the weather turns, and Reunion Island offers around 300 flying days a year. From that height, the view opens on the whole west of the island at once.

Maido Flight

Air Lagon's ultimate flight. After a short forest walk to the edge of the rampart, you'll launch facing the majestic Mafate cirque and Piton des Neiges (3,070 m), the highest peak in the Indian Ocean. An exceptional thermal flight lasting up to an hour, with a unique panorama over the island's three cirques. Transfer to the take-off included. An experience reserved for enthusiasts and adventurers. Take-off happens at Le Maïdo, at 2,200 metres, close to three times the height of Les Colimaçons. The package runs from two people upwards and takes a full morning, transfer included. The flight reaches forty-five to sixty minutes in the air, the longest in the range. Booking is taken ahead, and a delay costs nothing when conditions do not allow flying. Le Maïdo is the only site in the range that needs a walk before take-off.

Options & add-ons
Two options round out the five packages. Photos and HD Video, at 20 euros, bring together an on-board GoPro during the flight and a photographer at the landing field; the files are handed over afterwards. Acrobatics are not charged: they come included from the Vol Extra Long upwards, and the instructor matches each figure to the comfort of the passenger. Nothing forces you to ask for them, and nothing stops you from turning them down once in the air. Both options are settled on site, at take-off, rather than at the time of booking. The photographer works on the landing field, as the flight comes in. The GoPro, for its part, runs for the whole time spent in the air.
