A paragliding flight is better shared. In Saint-Leu, children fly from the age of 4, in tandem with a state-certified instructor, just like adults. When several instructors are free in the same slot, the family takes off together, one right after the other, and meets up again above the lagoon.
From what age can a child fly?
From the age of 4 and 20 kg. The child flies in a harness sized for them, seated in front of the instructor, exactly as an adult would. There is nothing to steer: the instructor keeps the controls from take-off to landing. We ask for a legal guardian’s consent for anyone under 18.
There is no upper age limit: being able to take a few steps at take-off is all it takes. Adults fly up to 120 kg. Grandparents fly too.
Flying together
A tandem carries a single passenger: everyone flies with their own instructor. When several instructors are available, they take off immediately one after the other, and the whole family is in the air above the lagoon at the same time.
To make the most of it, book every seat at the same time. Elloha does not show every slot we have: if it comes up full for the number of seats you need, call us or message us on WhatsApp. We will find with you a time when several instructors are flying.
Relatives who are not flying wait at the meeting point, near Kélonia. That is also where you land, by the lagoon.
Which flight for a group of you?
The Discovery Flight is the shortest: fifteen to twenty minutes in the air from the Colimaçons, at 800 metres, with no walk-in. It is the simplest choice for a child’s first flight, or for a family who want to fly together in the same morning.
The Maïdo Flight is also open from the age of 4. It runs with two people minimum: one parent and one child are enough. It asks for a short walk through the forest to the take-off, and the whole morning. The other packages are on the flights and prices page.
One price for everyone
There is no child, family or group rate: each seat is paid at the price of its package, whatever the passenger’s age. No deposit is required. You can pay online by card, or on site in cash, by cheque or with chèques vacances (up to 50%).
Giving a flight for two, or for the whole family
The gift voucher is bought per passenger: to give a flight for two, take one card for each. The Maïdo Flight is not among the self-service cards: it is given on request, by phone or WhatsApp.
