The Panoramic Flight leaves from a private Air Lagon site at 1,600 m, twice the height of Les Colimaçons. The start is early: 6 am in summer, 7 am in winter.
The flight
Twenty-five to thirty minutes in the air, above the primary forest, the peaks and the ramparts. From that height the view opens in a single sweep, from Étang-Salé to Saint-Paul. The hour is not an organiser’s whim: the early morning air stays calmer over the relief. Acrobatics are included, on a simple word at take-off. The state-certified instructor flies from take-off to landing.
Who it is for
For those who have already flown, and for those who come for the high panorama rather than the discovery. The flight is open from 20 to 120 kg. Above 90 kg it is not advised, without being forbidden: the instructor judges at booking, on build and on the conditions of the day. If in doubt, call before you book.
Good to know
Allow €140 per person. The early slot is booked ahead. We meet near Kélonia, at the northern entrance to Saint-Leu, fifteen minutes before the agreed time. The HD photo and video option, at €20, puts a GoPro on board for the whole flight. Postponement is free if the weather calls for it.
