No, none at all. A tandem flight is open to anyone from the age of 4 and 20 kg, with no preparation and no particular fitness required. Your state-certified instructor keeps the controls from take-off to landing. You run a few steps together, then simply take in the view.

Yes. Vertigo comes from seeing the ground from a fixed point: a balcony, a cliff edge. In paragliding that reference point disappears within the first few steps, and the sensation never arrives. Mention it to your instructor at the briefing all the same, and they will take it into account.

From 20–120 kg on every package. The Panoramic Flight is the exception: above 90 kg it is not advised, though not barred, and the instructor decides at booking.

Closed-toe shoes, trainers or walking boots: that is the only requirement. Bring comfortable clothes and a light jacket, as the air is cooler at altitude. We provide the helmet, the seat and the harness when you arrive.

Booking takes place online on Elloha, our booking platform. Elloha does not show every slot we have: if none of them suits you, call us on +262 692 87 52 87 or message us on WhatsApp. No deposit is required: you pay on site, in cash, by cheque or with chèques vacances (up to 50%) — card payment is online. Book as early as you can: slots go all year round.

Yes, from the age of 4 and 20 kg. The child flies in a harness sized for them, seated in front of the instructor, exactly as an adult would. We ask for a legal guardian’s consent for anyone under 18. There is no upper age limit: being able to take a few steps at take-off is all it takes.

A paraglider has a soft wing and you sit in a harness seat. A hang glider has a rigid wing and the pilot flies lying flat. In Saint-Leu, all our tandem flights are paraglider flights: take-off in a few steps, then a calm, contemplative flight, ideal for a first time.

From 15 minutes for the Discovery Flight to 60 minutes for the Maïdo Flight, depending on the package you choose. Those figures count the time spent in the air. On the day, allow one hour to two and a half hours in all, including the briefing and the transfer, and the whole morning for the Maïdo Flight. The air conditions of the day shift each flight by a few minutes.

Yes, from the Extra Long Flight upwards, and simply on request at take-off. They are included in the price and never imposed. Your instructor matches the manoeuvres to how comfortable you feel, and stops the moment you say so.

As an option: photos and HD video for €20. Your instructor films with an onboard camera throughout the flight. You receive the files after landing. Add the option when you book, or on the spot at the briefing.

The lagoon at Saint-Leu, its coral reef and, more often than not, the turtles. Depending on the package, the flight also crosses the sugar cane fields, the Mascarin botanical garden and the ravines of the west coast. From Le Maïdo, at 2,200 metres, the view opens onto the Cirque de Mafate.

Take-off is very gentle: you run a few steps and the wing carries you, with no jolt and no sense of falling. Most passengers expect something rough and are surprised by how calm the flight is. If nerves do build, say so and your instructor will adjust the line.

We only take off when conditions allow, and the instructor makes that call on the morning itself. If the flight cannot go ahead, we let you know and move it to another slot at no charge. A weather postponement does not use up a gift card.

More than two days before the flight, cancellation is free and refunded in full within fourteen days. Less than two days before, the price remains due, though we look for another slot wherever we can. If we are the ones who cancel, for weather or safety, you are rebooked or refunded at no charge.

At 46 rue Général de Gaulle, next to Kélonia, at the northern entrance to Saint-Leu. Please arrive 15 minutes before your agreed time: the Air Lagon shuttle then drives you up to the take-off site. Parking on site is free, and Kar’ouest bus lines 30, 31 and 37 serve the area.

No. You are covered by our professional liability insurance. Air Lagon has been state-approved since 1988 and holds the Qualité Tourisme label. Our equipment is certified and we check it every day.

Yes. Eight gift cards, from €90 to €160, are bought online on Elloha and stay valid for twelve months. The PDF arrives with the purchase confirmation: you forward it to the recipient, who picks a date later. For the Maïdo Flight, an open amount or delivery by post, give us a call.

Prices run from €90 for the Discovery Flight, 15 to 20 minutes, up to €299 for the Maïdo Flight, 45 to 60 minutes. In between: Long Flight €100, Extra Long Flight €115, Panoramic Flight €140. The Extra Long Flight is the one most people ask for. Photos and HD video add €20. Durations, altitudes and take-off sites are on our flights and prices.

Not necessarily: the meeting point is near Kélonia, at the northern entrance to Saint-Leu, and lines 30, 31 and 37 of the Kar’ouest network serve the area. A car is still the simplest way from the airport or the north of the island, and parking is free on site.
